Kent City flexes muscle with 36-0 shutout victory over rival Morley Stanwood

The Kent City football team was dominant in a 36-0 shutout victory over rival Morley Stanwood on Friday night.
Kent City took a 13-0 lead after the first quarter due to a three-yard touchdown run by Kyler Larson and a 14-yard touchdown run by Mason Westbrook.
A field goal and a 35-yard touchdown run by Larson helped Kent City extend the lead to 22-0 at halftime.
Larson finished his night with a four-yard touchdown run in the third quarter while Caden Hartzell had a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Westbrook led the Eagles with 122 yards on 18 carries while Larson finished with 112 yards on 12 carries.
Larson also totaled 115 yards on 8-of-10 passing while Ari Baker caught four passes for 79 yards.
Jake Perry led the defensive effort with nine tackles while Jim Anderson totaled seven tackles, including one tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
Kent City is now 6-0 overall and 3-0 in CSAA play, they’ll next travel to Reed City.
