The Ravenna football team ran away with a 55-13 win over Shelby on Friday in a West Michigan Conference clash.

The Bulldogs led 7-0 after the first quarter, scoring on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Hogan and Derek Finley.

Ravenna continued its offensive onslaught, scoring 21 second quarter points to take a 28-0 lead at halftime. Hogan completed a 61-yard touchdown pass to Chase Thomas before scoring on two touchdown runs from one and 53 yards out.

The Bulldogs scored another 21 points in the third quarter to take a commanding 49-0 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Hogan ran for another two TD, from 63 and nine yards out, and completed a 35-yard touchdown pass to Blake Homoly. Isaac Korson closed out the scoring for Ravenna with a 13-yard touchdown run.

The Tigers scored the final 13 points, scoring on runs by Lalo Garcia from 33 and 20 yards, respectively.

Hogan was 9-for-10 passing for 232 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns on eight carries. Homoly caught four passes for 106 yards while Thomas had three receptions for 85 yards.

Garcia went 6-for-16 passing for Shelby for 94 yards while also rushing for 57 yards on 17 carries.

The Bulldogs improved 3-1 on season and 2-0 in league play and will face Mason County Central next week. Shelby falls to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in league play and will play Hesperia.
