Hesperia scores three times in first half, then holds on for an 18-12 victory over St. Louis

The Hesperia football team got its first win of the season by gutting out a tough 18-12 victory over St. Louis on Thursday night.

The Panthers built an 18-6 halftime lead, then their defense dug in in the third and fourth quarters to preserve the win.

Quarterback Alex Gleason completed 10 of 16 passes for 71 yards and rushed for 91 yards with a touchdown.

Brock Bolles hauled in three receptions for the Panthers. Maverick McKinnon had two catches, rushed for a touchdown and led the defense with seven tackles.

Skyler Stalbaum added six stops and an interception while Marcus Hoaglin also has six tackles. [2]
