The Hesperia football team got its first win of the season by gutting out a tough 18-12 victory over St. Louis on Thursday night.
The Panthers built an 18-6 halftime lead, then their defense dug in in the third and fourth quarters to preserve the win.
[1]Quarterback Alex Gleason completed 10 of 16 passes for 71 yards and rushed for 91 yards with a touchdown.
Brock Bolles hauled in three receptions for the Panthers. Maverick McKinnon had two catches, rushed for a touchdown and led the defense with seven tackles.
Skyler Stalbaum added six stops and an interception while Marcus Hoaglin also has six tackles.
