The Hart football team earned its third straight win Friday, defeating Muskegon Heights 36-14 in a non-conference game.

Hart opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Trenton Swihart to Revin Gale, making the score 6-0.

In the second quarter, Anthony Floyd punched in a four-yard touchdown run to give the Tigers an 8-6 lead. Later in the quarter, Nari Davis threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Dacarri Moore to extend the Tigers lead to 14-6.

A Hart touchdown pass from Swihart to Eman Hertzler made the score 14-14, which was the halftime score.

In the third quarter, Trayce Tate punched in runs of seven and five yards to give Hart a 30-14 lead. Tate finished the scoring in the fourth quarter with a five-yard touchdown run to make the final score 36-14.

Tate led the Pirates with 54 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries while Swihart was 5-of-7 for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Davis finished 9-of-15 passing on the night for 174 yards and one touchdown while Floyd totaled 49 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Moore had 100 receiving yards and a touchdown on three catches.

Hart is now 3-1 overall and will next travel to North Muskegon. The Tigers are 0-4 and will host Riverview Gabriel Richard next Saturday.
