The Grand Haven football team fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play with a 31-6 loss to Jenison on Friday night.

The Buccaneers trailed by scores of 7-0 after one quarter, 14-0 at halftime and 21-0 after three quarters.

After Jenison added a field goal to make the score 24-0, Grand Haven got on the board with a five-yard touchdown pass from Xzavier Rodriguez to Chase Robinson, making the score 24-6.

Jenison added a touchdown to close out the scoring, making the final 31-6.

Rodriguez led Grand Haven with 50 yards on 18 carries while also passing for 75 yards and a touchdown on 8-of-22 passing.

Dylan Cummings led the defense with five tackles on the night.

The Buccaneers will next host West Ottawa in another O-K Red Conference clash.
