For anyone who thought the Fremont Packers would be happy with just an opening-game victory, think again!
The Packers improved to 2-0 on the season with a convincing 24-7 victory over Beaverton on Thursday in non-conference action.
This is the first year since 2007 that the Packers won their first two games.

Fremont opened the scoring in the first quarter on a 33-yard touchdown pass from Kyler DeKuiper to Justin Dirheimer.
The Packers took a 12-0 halftime lead when DeKuiper tossed a 10-yard TD pass to Owen Hertel.
Dirheimer added an eight-yard scoring run early in the third quarter and Fremont went up 18-0.
Beaverton finally got on the board with a touchdown and extra point in the third quarter and Fremont led 18-7 heading into the fourth.
Dirheimer finished things off with a 16-yard touchdown run with 4:55 remaining in the game.
Dirheimer finished with 171 yards on 27 carries. DeKuiper completed 7 of 13 passes for 109 yards and two scores while Gabe Curtice caught two passes for 38 yards
Connor Pettis led the Fremont defense with seven tackles while Michael Romero and Asa Barnhard had four apiece.
