Don’t look now, but the Fremont Packers are 3-1 after a convincing 30-8 victory over Grant on Friday in non-conference action.
The Packers had a little bit of everything in the win.
They had plenty of offense, thanks to a Justin Dirheimer, who rushed for an amazing 296 yards and scored three touchdowns.
The Packer defense was also stout. Daniel Romero was the star of the show on that side of the ball, hauling in two interceptions and making four tackles to help stop the Tigers in their tracks. Michael Romero also had a big night, co-leading the team in tackles with five, with Owen Hertel also reaching that mark.
