The Whitehall baseball team kept its season alive and advanced to districts with a 9-0 victory over Orchard View on Tuesday.

The Vikings led 1-0 through four innings, then scored four runs in the fifth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Ryne Christensen pitched the victory, strikeout out 11 while allowing only two hits and two walks. He also knocked in two runs.

Ryan Goodrich and Isaac VanAmberg had two hits for Whitehall, which now advances to Saturday’s district semifinals against Spring Lake.

Kent City advances to districts with an 11-5 victory over Central Montcalm

The Eagles iced the win with three runs in the third inning and six runs in the sixth.

Webb Longcore was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI for the Eagles. Ryan McCuaig had a hit and scored a run.

Kent City moves onto play Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian on Saturday in districts.

Kenowa Hills, Coopersville and Ravenna win pre-district games

Kenowa Hills beat Muskegon 20-0, Coopersville downed Sparta 4-0 and Ravenna beat Shelby 8-0 in pre-district action.

All three teams now advance to this weekend’s district tournaments in their respective classes.

Bosh strikes out 15 in Fruitport’s 3-0 win over Ludington

Pitcher Ryan Bosch tossed a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts and only two walks in Fruitport’s 3-0 win over Ludington. Gavin Reames recorded the last out to get the save.

Bosch had two doubles at the plate for the Trojans while Aiden Vela also had two hits.

Western Michigan Christian downs Hesperia 12-2 in last regular season game

WMC was paced at the plate by Sam Sipe with three hits and four RBIs. Sam Liggett added 3 hits and 2 RBIs and reached the 100 mark in career hits. Jonothon Clausing also had three hits for the Warriors.

Liggett started on the mound and struck out eight. Sipe had three strikeouts in relief.

Armondo Escobedo and Travis Kurtz each had two hits for Hesperia.

Hudsonville downs Reeths-Puffer 13-4

Gage Robertson led the Hudsonville offense with tw0 doubles, a triple, three runs and two RBIs.  Jackson Visser added two more hits, including a double, and two RBIs.  Jayden Timmer had two hits, two runs and a stolen base.

Kaden Edwards had three hits for the Rockets while Alex Johnson and Jordan Bochenek each added two.

Hart takes two from Marion in a warm-up for districts

The Hart baseball team downed Marion 7-6 and 12-2 in a non-conference doubleheader.

Blake Weirich pitched the win in the opener, racking up 14 strikeouts. He also had a pair of hits, including an RBI. Logan Purdy also had two hits for the Pirates.

Ty Schlukebir was the winning pitcher in the nightcap. Brandon VanderZanden and Kory Charron each had three hits, Weirich added two hits and four RBIs while Kody Charron and Kyan Clark each had two-RBI singles. The Pirates improved to 11-15 on the season.
