The Ludington girls soccer squad won an important Lakes 8 contest over Orchard View 2-0 on Wednesday night.
Maddy Billings scored both goals for Ludington on corner kicks.
The Orioles goalkeeper Anyssa Castaneda stopped eight shots in net.
Ludington is now 10-6-1 and 4-1-1 in league play.
FREMONT 2, SHELBY 0 – The Packers were paced by Mia Clemence with a goal and an assist while Lili Isak added a goal.
Fremont’s goalkeeper Macey Powers stopped all six shots faced to earn the shutout victory.
The Packers outshot Shelby by a 10-6 margin.
Fremont improves to 8-6 overall and 5-3 in conference play, while the Tigers are now 4-13-2 overall and 2-5 in league action.
FRUITPORT 3, REETHS-PUFFER 1 – The Trojans won a hard-fought non-conference contest on Wednesday night.
Emerson VerMerris, Raena Norbotten and Alexa Hanson-Wilbur each scored a goal for Fruitport, while Mikayla Belasco chipped in with two assists and Hanson-Wilbur added one helper.
The Trojans goalkeeper Riley Kettel stopped six shots on net.
