Tuesday soccer roundup: North Muskegon, Montague pick up conference wins

North Muskegon continued its perfect start to West Michigan Conference play with a 9-0 win over Mason County Central on Tuesday night.

The win moves the Norse to 7-0 in the conference and 11-3-1 overall this season.

Sam Johnson and Natalie Pannucci led the attack with a pair of goals each. Kennedi Koekkoek, Katie Kinahan, Riley McEvoy, Grace Vander Woude and Jaley Schultz each scored once for North Muskegon.

Spartan keeper Gabby Jensen made nine saves on 18 shots.

MONTAGUE 4, SHELBY 1 – The Wildcats took down West Michigan Conference opponent Shelby Tuesday night.

Emma Peterson led the attack with two goals, both off assists from Kendall Osborne. Ava Pelton and Katie Nuttall both scored for Montague, while Peterson and Allyson Balder had assists.

Addison Pranger made 12 saves in the net for Montague.

Montague improves to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in the West Michigan Conference, while Shelby falls to 4-12-2 and 2-5 in the conference.
