Holton swept Hart in a non-conference softball doubleheader Thursday night. The Red Devils won by scores of 12-5 and 9-2. 

Ryann Robins starred in Game 1. She earned the pitching win, racking up seven strikeouts, and went 3-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI at the plate.

Gianna Reed also smacked a homer for Holton as one of her two hits. Abbie Fowler and Kenzie Greene both had two hits in the opener as well.

Fowler pitched the second game, striking out seven on the way to the win. Fowler, Green and Emma Monette had two hits each. Grace Thompsen had a double in each game. 

Holton improves to 18-6 overall this season.

Hudsonville earns OK Red victory

The Eagles picked up an OK Red Conference victory over Grandville 12-6 on Thursday night. 

Syd Bosgraaf earned the win in the circle going four innings, allowing three runs. Ella Reifschneider led the attack at the plate, collecting three hits, while Annika Talsma and Megan Beemer recorded a pair of hits each. Talsma drove in four runs, while Reifschneider and Beemer both scored three times.

Ravenna swept by Wayland Union

The Ravenna softball team suffered a pair of rare losses Thursday, falling 5-0 and 9-2 against Wayland Union. 

Emma Gillard started Game 1 in the circle, allowing three runs on 10 hits. Maddie Killbourne led the offense with two hits, while Amelia Porter finished the contest with a hit. 

In Game 2, Addison Gillard started on the mound, allowing six runs on eight hits. Emma Gillard and Emma Herremans led the Bulldogs offense with three hits a piece, while Kilbourne, Kendra Denhof, and Ellie Solem picked up a hit each. 

The Bulldogs are now 24-5 on the season.
