Soccer roundup: Mona Shores girls wrap up a great conference regular season with an 8-0 win over Wyoming

The Mona Shores girls soccer team wrapped up at least a share of the O-K Green conference regular season conference title on Wednesday with an 8-0 victory over Wyoming.

Shay Norden and Mikayla Benedict both notched two goals for the Sailors, while Lauren Davis, Lilly Houle, Ali Trautner and Maya Cooper had single tallies. Addison Nellis and Lauren Hylland both recorded two assists each, and Sophia Fisher got one assist.

Getting the shutout in goal for the Sailors was Jenna Baker.

Mona Shores finished OK Green conference play with an undefeated record of 6-0-1, and improved to 9-1-2 overall on the season.

MONTAGUE 11, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0 – Allyson Balder had three goals to the lead the Wildcats to the easy conference victory.

Ava Pelton added two goals while Kendall Osborne, Anna Trevino, Emma Peterson, Braylyn Bultema, Katie Nuttall and Peyton Johnson each scored one.

Goalie Gabby Jensen had 26 saves on a very busy night in goal for the Spartans.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 5, MANISTEE 0 – Getting goals for the Warriors were Sydney Betten, who posted a hat trick, and Brooklyn Watts with two of her own.

Getting the shutout in net was Libby Mast, who made three saves.

LUDINGTON 3, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 0 – Madison Gasaway, Abi Bandstra and Elianna Jeruzal each knocked the ball into the net once for the Orioles, while Madeline Billings assisted on all three goals.

Anyssa Castaneda got the shutout in net, making seven saves.

Ludington improved to 8-4 overall and 4-1 in the Lakes 8 conference.

RAVENNA 9, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0 – Kaylyn Eden scored four goals for the Bulldogs, Rachel Cooper added three and Ines de Reine and Sidney Marsman both had one.

Ravenna keepers Mercedez Duke and Shyanne Parsons each had two saves.

Ravenna is now 5-3-1 on the season.

FREMONT 6, LAKEVIEW 1 – Mia Clemence scored twice before halftime for Fremont while Triniity Freriks and Bethany Geeting each added single tallies.

Lily Isak added two goals in the second half.

Fremont goalie Macy Powers made 12 saves for the Packers, who improved to 6-6 overall and 4-3 in CSAA competition.
