The Hudsonville softball team allowed eight runs in the sixth inning in Thursday’s 13-3 loss to Jenison.

Avery Hobson paced Hudsonville offensively with two hits, while Elly Koopman suffered the loss from the mound.

The Eagles then bounced back with a 5-3 victory over Grandville in O-K Red Conference action.

Syd Bosgraaf earned the victory on the mound allowing three runs on four hits while striking out eight hitters. Jessica Debois, Avery Hobson, and Ashley Sorrell each recorded an extra base hit.

Hesperia dominates offensive in conference doubleheader sweep

The Panthers’ bats power the team to a CSAA Silver Conference sweep of Morley Stanwood by the scores of 10-2 and 17-2 on Friday night.

Emmi Tinkham, Ally Townsend, and Trinity Tanner led the offense in Game 1 with three hits apiece, while Kayla Rumsey had a pair of hits.

Emma Joppich got the start in the circle, turning in a complete game, allowing two runs, while striking out six batters.

In Game 2, Tinkham led the Panthers attack with a pair of hits and four RBIs, while Joppich and Rumsey finished with three hits apiece.

Katie Skok pitched the win on the mound, allowing two runs in three innings of work.

Fremont Earns a Conference Sweep of Tri County

The Packers picked up a pair of CSAA Gold Conference wins by the scores of 13-2 and 17-2, respectively on Friday night.

Haley Zerlaut earned the Game 1 win in the circle for Fremont.

The Packers were propelled to victory by a seven-run second inning which saw Sage Vandenberg, McKenzie Gugins, Trinity Zerlaut and Sydney Dunbar drive in a run each in the frame.

In Game 2, the Packers offense exploded for 11 hits.

Madeline Baden led the offense with a pair of hits in the contest. Sophia Romine earned the win on the mound.

Ravenna and Grand Haven split a non-conference doubleheader

The Bulldogs picked the 6-3 victory in the opener, before dropping the nightcap 4-3 against Grand Haven on Friday night.

Kara Postema and Madie Kilbourne picked up a pair of hits each, while Emma Herremans and Emma Gillard grabbed a hit each.

Emma Gillard picked up the win in the circle, turning in two innings of work, allowing two runs on two hits.

In Game 2, Herremans started the game, turning in 4 ⅓ innings pitched giving up one run on three hits.

Addison Gillard and Kendra Denhof picked up a pair of hits each, while Postema Emma Gillard and Liberty Willick scratched out a hit apiece.
