Friday girls soccer roundup: Shay Norden’s hat trick paces Mona Shores over Grand Haven

The Mona Shores girls soccer team snapped their three-game losing streak with a 4-1 non-league victory over Grand Haven on Friday night.

Shay Norden led Mona Shores with a three-goal hat trick, while Lily Houle added a single goal.

Mia Brown and Addison Fisher each chipped in with two assists.

The Sailors are now 10-4-2 on the season and will host Wyoming on Tuesday in the first round of the O-K Green Conference tournament.

FREMONT 6, RAVENNA 0 – Riley Chase paced the Packers with four goals, while Mia Clemens and Mia Witte each added a goal.

Lili Isak chipped in with two assists while Clemens, Witte and Jessie Petry had an assist.

Fremont outshot the Bulldogs by a 17-5 margin.

Macey Powers earned the shutout win, stopping all five shots faced.

The Packers are now 9-6 on the season and 5-3 in league play, while Ravenna falls to 7-5-1 overall and 3-4 in conference competition.

MANISTEE 3, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0 – The Spartans struggled offensively in their non-conference battle on Friday night.

Gabby Jenson stopped 14 shots on net for Mason County Central.

GRAND RAPIDS COVENANT CHRISTIAN 2, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 1-The Warriors dropped a non-conference game to the Chargers on Friday night.

Ally Oppenhuizen scored a goal for the Warriors, while Brooklyn Watts added her name to the scoresheet with an assist.

Libby Mast stopped 11 shots on goal for the Warriors in net.
