The Fremont softball team won both of their games in a doubleheader against Chippewa Hills on Wednesday.

The Packers won a close opener by an 11-10 final, then cruised to an 18-7 victory in the finale.

McKenzie Gugins hit a home run in the seventh inning to put the Packers on top for good in Game 1. Maddie Baden also homered for Fremont, while Laney Sipos and Rainee Dey-Rayl each doubled.

The Packers collected 14 hits as a team in Game 2 and scored six runs during the sixth frame.

Sipos hit her first home run of the season during the nightcap.

Haley Zerlaut pitched the victory in both games for the Packers.
