The Spring Lake softball team swept Holland Christian on Tuesday in an O-K Blue conference doubleheader.
Avery Flynn had a big game for the Lakers in the opener, a 9-3 victory. She struck out 13 from the mound and added three hits at the plate. Kendra Kieft added two hits and three stolen bases while Tegan Rose had a three-run triple.
The Lakers completed the sweep with a 12-2 victory in the nightcap. Flynn got the win on the mound again, striking out eight. Alexa Carter and Avery Britt each had two hits and Kieft had one hit and two stolen bases.
Spring Lake is now 4-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Muskegon drops a pair of games to Zeeland West
The Muskegon Big Reds lost both ends of an O-K Green conference doubleheader to Zeeland West by scores of 15-0 and 20-0.
Sophomore pitcher Lauren Belka was a bright spot for Muskegon, striking out five hitters.
