Tuesday soccer roundup: Raap scores five times to lead Oakridge past Hart

A huge scoring performance from Saidee Raap propelled Oakridge soccer to a win over Hart on Tuesday.

Raap found the net five times, leading her team to a 7-1 win. 

Bri Benson and Ellie DeWitte both scored once for the Eagles. Benson, Destiny Bowen, Ali Ehnen and Adara DeWolf all had assists. 

Sandy Salgado scored Hart’s goal. Maricruz Andaverde had six saves for the Pirates.

Oakridge is now 3-4 overall and 2-0 in West Michigan Conference play. 

MONA SHORES 2, ZEELAND EAST 0 — The Sailors scored a pair of first half goals to claim an OK Conference win Tuesday evening. 

Lydia Sowles scored once and had an assist to lead the offense. Jenna Baker had a goal for Mona Shores, while Mia Brown assisted one goal. Ella Buikema was in the net for the shutout.

Mona Shores is now 3-1-1 on the season, including 2-0-1 in the OK Green.

NORTH MUSKEGON 2, MONTAGUE 1 — A goal with 10 minutes left pushed the Norse to a conference win Tuesday.

Sam Johnson stole the ball from a defender and put it in the net to break a 1-1 tie and eventually give her team the win. Natalee Lindell scored North Muskegon’s first goal in the first half, off an assist from Kennedi Koekoek.

Braylyn Bultema had the lone goal for Montague in the second half.

ZEELAND WEST 1, REETHS-PUFFER 0 — The Rockets just missed on a handful of scoring chances in a close OK Green loss. Reeths-Puffer had seven shots, compared to nine for Zeeland West, and saw two hit off the post and another sail just high.

Tessa Lamphere made eight saves in the net for Reeths-Puffer. The Rockets are now 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in conference action.

WYOMING 3, MUSKEGON 0 — The Big Reds fell on the road in an OK Green matchup.

Angie Garza was in the net for Muskegon and stopped several shots throughout the game.
