The Oakridge baseball team swept a doubleheader from Fremont on Wednesday with a tight 2-0 victory in the opener and a comeback 13-11 win in the nightcap.

Brody Jennings pitched the win for Oakridge in the opener while Garrett Wever got the save. Corey Vanderputte collected three hits and improved his batting average to .556. Matt Danicek and Caleb Osinski scored the Eagle runs and Ethan Josza had an RBI.

Michael Baden and Brendan Maka each had two hits for Fremont.

Fremont jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the second game, but Oakridge scored 10 runs in the third inning and squeaked out the win.

Danicek pitched in relief and got the win for Oakridge. Vanderputte tore up again with three more hits, including a two-run homer, and three RBIs. Josza had two hits and knocked in three runs, Evan Miller had two hits and Danicek knocked in three runs.
