A hat trick from Shay Norden led the Mona Shores girls soccer team to its first win of the season Tuesday night. The Sailors picked up a 6-1 win over Grand Rapids Union in their OK Green conference opener.
NOrden’s three goals led the offensive attack, while Lauren Hylland, Mia Brown and Ali Trautner scored one each. Brown, Sophia Fisher, Ali Phillips, Addison Nellis and Lauren Davis each had an assist.
Mona Shores is now 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
NORTH MUSKEGON 6, RAVENNA 0 — Natalie Pannucci led the Norse with two goals and two assists in a West Michigan Conference victory.
North Muskegon held a 2-0 lead going into halftime.
Jaley Schultz scored two goals for the Norse, followed by Kennedi Koekkoek and Sam Johnson each with one. Johnson, Katie Kinahan, and Allie Jensen each had one assist.
The North Muskegon girls played strong defense to collect the shutout. The Norse are now 4-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They will face Spring Lake and Harbor Springs this weekend.
REETHS-PUFFER 11, WYOMING 0 — Mallory Sieplinga led the Rockets with two goals and one assist, followed by Sophia Hekkema with two goals as well.
Faith McMillan, Brooke Bradley, Alivia Ackerberg, Emma Martin, Billie Tryska, Irelyn Niklasch, and Ava Klopp each scored for Reeths-Puffer as well.
Tryska, Alyssa Herbert, Sophia Corridan, Jillian Singleton, and Grace Goodell each totaled one assist for the Rockets.
Reeths-Puffer is now 2-1 on the season with a 1-0 record in OK Green play. They will face Zeeland East on Thursday for another conference matchup.
SHELBY 3, HART 2 — Shelby scored three goals in the first seven minutes of the game and held on for the win in a West Michigan Conference game.
Julia Greiner and Cristelia Rangel each scored a single goal for the Pirates. Sandy Salgado assisted Rangel with her goal.
The Hart girls only allowed one shot on goal in the second half.
The Pirates are now 0-3 for the season and 0-1 in the West Michigan Conference. The Shelby girls improve to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
OAKRIDGE 8, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 0 — The Eagles won their West Michigan Conference opener in dominating fashion Tuesday night.
Saidee Raap had a huge night, scoring four goals to lead Oakridge. Bri Benson, Cara Morse, Adara DeWolf and Destiny Bowen each found the net once.
Benson, Helene Myrvang, Serenity Carlisle and Kate Utzinger each had an assist in the game.
Oakridge is now 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
KENT CITY 6, WELLSPRING PREP 0 — Olivia Hearth and Maddie Geers both scored a pair of goals to lead the Eagles in a shutout win.
Emily Lantzer and Susan Rau had a goal each for Kent City. Geers, Rau, Jaiden West and Lizette Solorio each had one assist.
