The Orchard View girls soccer team came out on top with a late goal in non-conference play against Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Friday night, resulting in a 3-2 victory.
The game was tied 1-1 at halftime as Kylee Carnean scored the lone first half goal for the Cardinals.
Kyah McGruther scored a goal to give Orchard View a 2-1 lead. Nazalia Mendiola scored the game-winning goal with 5:38 left in regulation.
Orchard View improves to 5-3 on its season, and will face Muskegon Catholic on Monday.

LUDINGTON 2, FREMONT 0 – Evelyn Pearson and Ayla King each found the back of the net to lead the Orioles to a non-league win on Friday night.
Ludington’s goalkeeper Anyssa Castaneda stopped all five shots faced to earn the shutout win.
Jocelyn Austin chipped in with an assist for the Orioles, who improved to 6-3 on the season.
