The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team connected on 10 three-pointers to get past Spring Lake 53-48 on Thursday in the regular season finale for both teams.
The Rockets jumped out to an 18-11 lead after one quarter and a 28-18 advantage at halftime. The Lakers played even with R-P in the third quarter, then made things close with a 17-11 edge in the fourth.
Reeths-Puffer gained its momentum with five triples in the first quarter and seven in the first half.
Clyde Bartee paced the Rockets with 11 points, including three triples. Jaxson Whitaker and Kyle Schlaff each scored 10 points, Travis Ambrose had seven points and four blocked shots, and Logan Brooks chipped in six points and five boards.
Evan McDermott and Porter Saunders led Spring Lake with 12 points and seven rebounds, and 11 points and six rebounds, respectively.
Reeths-Puffer wrapped up the regular season with a 13-7 record. Spring Lake is now 8-12.
