The North Muskegon boys basketball team won its second straight district title Friday night. The Norse topped Holton 48-33 in a Division 3 district final at Western Michigan Christian.
North Muskegon (15-8) advances to the regional round, where it will play West Michigan Conference rival Ravenna (15-6). The teams split two regular season meetings. Holton finishes the season at 15-7.
The Norse jumped out to a 13-5 lead after the opening quarter and stretched that to 28-14 by halftime. The score was 37-21 at the end of the third.
Troy McManus led North Muskegon with 15 points on the night. Jason Bogue scored 14 and Brandon Rypstra tossed in nine for the Norse.
Wyatt Monette scored 14 points to lead Holton, while Kevin Erickson added seven.
