The North Muskegon boys basketball team never stopped fighting on Monday, and in the end the Norse came from behind to claim a 56-49 victory over Western Michigan Christian in Division 3 district tournament action.

The game was tied 9-9 after one quarter, and WMC led 21-19 at halftime and 35-30 headed into the fourth quarter.

But North Muskegon exploded for 26 points down the stretch to take the victory and remain alive in the tournament.

Troy McManus led the Norse with a game-high 24 points while Jason Bogue added 13. Owen Varnado wrapped up a great career at WMC with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Sam Liggett added 13 points.

North Muskegon will now face Shelby on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the district semifinals at WMC.
