The Muskegon Catholic girls basketball team suffered a disappointing season-ending 62-58 loss to Muskegon Heights in overtime in a Division 4 district title game on Friday.

The Crusaders trailed 9-2 after the opening quarter and 26-13 at halftime.

MCC went on a 22-9 run during the third quarter to tie the contest 35-35 heading into the fourth.

Both scored 17 points apiece during the final stanza, forcing an overtime period.

The Tigers outscored MCC 10-6 during the extra quarter.

The Crusaders were paced by Katherine Rauch with 18 points, while Claire LaVigne added 13 and McKenna Gentry added 12. Sara Albanese chipped in with 10.

Muskegon Heights will play Martin on Tuesday in a regional semifinal contest.
