The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team overcame a six-point halftime deficit and roared back to steal a 54-48 victory over Saugatuck on Thursday.
‘The Eagles trailed 28-21 at halftime, then outscored Saugatuck 19-8 in the third quarter to take a 40-36 lead heading into the fourth.
The Eagles made 8 of 11 free throws down the stretch to ice the win.
Bradley Richards led Fruitport Calvary with 16 points, which all came in the second half. Luke Assad chipped in with a career-high 14 points, Nick Swanson added 11 while Jacob May contributed six steals and five assists.
The Eagles wrapped up the regular season with a 15-5 record, which is one of the best marks in school history.
