A clutch three-pointer from Kyle Beebe lifted Ravenna to a Division 3 district championship on Friday night.
With the score tied at 53-53, Beebe nailed a game-winning triple with two seconds left, giving the Bulldogs a 56-53 win over Blanchard Montabella.
[1]Ravenna, now 15-6 on the season, advances to Monday’s regional semifinal against West Michigan Conference rival North Muskegon (15-8). The teams split their two meetings during the regular season.
The Bulldogs fell behind by double-digits early on, trailing 26-12 after one quarter. Ravenna was down 36-24 at halftime. A huge 18-4 advantage in the third put Ravenna ahead 42-40 heading to the fourth.
Beebe totaled 25 points on the night, including the game-winning basket. He also grabbed 13 rebounds and had four steals.
Clay Schullo had 12 points and nine rebounds for Ravenna, while Grant Becklin scored 10 points and Travis May added nine.
