The Whitehall wrestling team advanced to the Division 2 state semifinals after defeating St. Joseph 39-28 on Friday in the quarterfinal round at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
Nicholas Blanchard (189), Ira Jenkins (215), Shane Cook (285), Dylan Osborn (112), Aiden Weiler (140), Max Brown (145), Alec Pruett (152) and Wyatt Jenkins (160) each won their matches for the Vikings.
The Vikings will face Goodrich, which beat Mason in the quarterfinals, on Saturday at noon in the state semifinals.
Whitehall is now 26-0 overall on the season.
