The Montague girls basketball team defeated North Muskegon 47-24 on Tuesday night in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Wildcats led 12-7 after the first quarter, then went on a 15-0 run during the second quarter to take a 27-7 halftime advantage.

Montague remained on top by a 38-20 margin heading into the final quarter.

Emma Dyer paced the Wildcats with 10 points, five rebounds and four steals, while both Kendall Osborne and Maddie Meacham each added nine points.

Montague improves to 12-3 on the season and 9-1 in league play.

OAKRIDGE 40, RAVENNA 28 – The Eagles earned a league win in a West Michigan Conference game on Tuesday night.

Oakridge led 10-9 at the end of the first quarter and 20-13 at halftime. The Bulldogs cut their deficit to 26-20 heading into the final stanza.

The Eagles closed out the contest by going on a 14-8 fourth quarter run.

Jasmine Pastor led Oakridge with 19 points and four rebounds, while Anna Lundquist added nine points, 12 rebounds, five steals and four blocks.

Ravenna was paced by Emma Gillard with 13 points and 10 rebounds while Maddie Kilbourne added six points.

The Eagles improved to 5-11 on the season and 4-7 in league play.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 49 SHELBY 37-The Spartans won a West Michigan Conference contest on Tuesday night.

Mason County Central jumped out to an 11-5 lead after one quarter and led 20-14 at halftime.

The Spartans extended the lead in the third quarter, taking a 35-27 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Wren Nelson paced the Spartans with 13 points while Adria Quigley chipped in with eight.

Kendall Zoulek led the Tigers with 13 points, while Aubrey Klotz and Ella Olmstead each scored seven.

Mason County Central is now 9-5 on the season and 6-4 in conference play.

HART 54, WHITEHALL 14 – The Pirates jumped out to a 17-4 advantage after the first quarter and 39-8 at halftime.

Addi Hovey paced Hart with 16 points, six rebounds, six steals and three blocks, while Mariana VanAgtmael added 12 points and six steals.

 

Abby Hicks chipped in with eight points, four rebounds and four assists, and Morgan Marvin contributed with seven points, four rebounds, four assists and four blocks.
