The Muskegon Catholic boys basketball team lost to Muskegon Heights 51-44 on Tuesday night in a Lakes 8 contest.
The Crusaders were led in a losing effort by Chase Willer with 12 points, while Tramel Caviness added eight points and Elliot Riegler chipped in with four steals.
MCC trailed 17-8 after the first quarter, 27-23 at halftime and 35-29 through three quarters.
COVENANT CHRISTIAN 79, WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 55 – Owen Varnardo’s 39-point and nine-rebound performance was not enough as the Warriors lost a non-conference battle on Tuesday night.
WMC trailed 19-15 at the end of one quarter, 37-24 at halftime and 51-42 heading into the final stanza.
Jared Olsen added 11 points for the Warriors.
FREMONT 60, GRANT 50 – The Packers were paced by Logan Nelson with 20 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
CADILLAC 47, LUDINGTON 34 – The Orioles dropped a non-league game on Tuesday night.
Ludington trailed 11-9 after the first quarter, 18-14 at halftime and 37-28 through three quarters.
Keelyn Laird paced the Orioles with 10 points, while RyAnn Rohrer and Karli Mesyar each added five.
