The Spring Lake girls basketball team cruised to a 60-27 victory over Coopersville on Tuesday night in an O-K Conference contest.

Jennifer Judge scored 16 points to lead the Lakers, while Alexa Carter added 12 points and eight rebounds for Spring Lake and Ella Andree chipped in with 12 points and five steals in the winning effort.

 

The Lakers jumped out to a 21-6 lead after one quarter, had a 39-14 lead at halftime, and took a 56-21 advantage after three quarters of play.

Spring Lake is 11-6 overall and 7-4 in conference play.

LAKES 8 CONFERENCE

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS 66, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 61 – The Crusaders led 17-15 after the first quarter but trailed 35-34 at halftime and 50-47 heading into the fourth quarter.

Sara Albanese led MCC with 20 points while Erin LaVigne and McKenna Gentry each added 10.

The Crusaders are now 8-8 on the season and 4-4 in Lakes 8 play.

ALLIANCE LEAGUE

POTTER’S HOUSE 38, FRUITPORT CALVARY 22-A slow second quarter doomed the Eagles to their first conference loss on Tuesday night.

The Eagles took a 4-3 lead after one quarter, but were shut out in the second quarter, being outscored 14-0 and trailed 17-4 at halftime.

Fruitport Calvary then trailed 26-12 heading into the fourth quarter.

Raegan Payton paced the Eagles with 14 points and four rebounds, while Cate Anhalt finished the contest with four points and seven rebounds.

The Eagles are now 12-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play.

GRANT 57, FREMONT 43-The Packers trailed 14-9 after the first quarter, 26-16 at halftime and 42-22 heading into the final quarter.

Haley Zerlaut paced the Packers with 21 points, while Kaitlyn Bennett finished the contest with 11 points and nine rebounds.

O-K RED CONFERENCE

ROCKFORD 58, GRAND HAVEN 32-The Bucs fell short in an O-K Red Conference game on Tuesday night.

Abbey Klumpel paced the Bucs with seven points and six rebounds. Molly Long and Heidi Berkey recorded six points each, while Caydee Constant scored five.

The Bucs are now 8-9 overall, and 4-7 in conference play.

NON-LEAGUE

WHITE CLOUD 34, NORTH MUSKEGON 21- The Norse lost a non-league game on Tuesday night.

North Muskegon was blanked 8-0 after the first quarter, trailed 16-13 at halftime and was down by a 27-19 margin heading into the fourth.

The Norse was paced by Francine Vinson with five points.

North Muskegon is now 2-15 overall on the season.

MANISTEE CATHOLIC 46, PENTWATER 22 – The Falcons fell behind 17-1 after the first quarter and couldn’t manage to mount a comeback on Tuesday night.

Samantha Schaefer led Pentwater with seven points while Jocelyn Richison added six.
