The Montague girls basketball team grabbed its 10th win of the year Tuesday behind a pair of double-double performances. The Wildcats topped Grant 54-39 in non-conference action.

Claire Meacham paced Montague with a team-leading 19 points and 13 rebounds. Kendall Osborne had a double-double as well with 13 points and 10 boards. Emma Dyer chipped in 12 points as well.

Grant led 15-10 after one quarter, but Montague recovered with an 18-8 edge in the second. The Wildcats took a 37-33 edge into the fourth before pulling away. 

Montague is now 10-3 on the season and remains 7-1 in West Michigan Conference action.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 46, FRUITPORT 27 — The Crusaders were in control throughout in a non-conference game with Fruitport Tuesday night.

MCC jumped out to a 15-7 lead after one quarter, then held the Trojans to just two points in the second quarter to lead 29-9 at halftime. The Crusaders carried the momentum through the third quarter and led 41-19 to start the fourth quarter.

Sara Albanese paced MCC with 12 points, while Erin LaVinge finished with nine points and five assists. 

The Crusaders improve to 6-5 overall this year. 

SHELBY 52, ORCHARD VIEW 33 — Kendall Zoulek scored 24 points to lead theTigers over Orchard View in non-conference action on Tuesday night. 

Ella Olmstead finished the contest with 12 points for Shelby, while Molli Schultz chipped in with six.

The Tigers jumped out to a 15-5 lead after one quarter and led 31-15 at halftime. They led 39-27 at the start of the fourth quarter. 

The Cardinals were led by Grace Gardner with 17 points, while Tionne Steward scored 11 points. 

Shelby improves to 9-5 on the season, while Orchard View falls to 1-14. 

HOLTON 45, LAKEVIEW 31 — A strong second half propelled the Red Devils to a win in CSAA Silver conference play on Tuesday night. 

Holton fell behind 8-4 after one quarter, but battled back to an 18-18 tie at halftime. The Red Devils seized the momentum in the third quarter 31-22 lead into the fourth quarter.

Abbie Fowler paced the Red Devils with nine points and five assists. Ryann Robins finished the contest with eight points and nine rebounds, while Courtney Boes hauled in 12 rebounds.

With the win, Holton improves to 7-5 overall. 

CALEDONIA 47, HART 36 — Morgan Marvin’s double-double wasn’t enough as the Pirates fell to Caledonia in non-conference action on Tuesday night. 

Marvin finished the evening with 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pirates. Mariana VanAgtmael finished the contest with nine points and seven rebounds, while Addi Hovey chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds. 

The Pirates are now 11-2 overall, and are still 9-0 in West Michigan Conference play. 

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 51, HOLLAND BLACK RIVER 22 — Nora Pollock’s 12 points and 13 steals led the Eagles to a conference victory over Black River Tuesday night.

The Eagles led 8-4 after the first quarter and 16-11 at halftime before taking over in the third. Calvary extended the lead to 36-19 after three quarters of play and outscored the Rats 15-3 in the final quarter.

McKena Wilson finished the contest with a game high 15 points. Cate Anhalt recorded 11 points and seven rebounds, while Avneet Cheeme chipped in with nine points. 

Calvary is now 9-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.

GRAND RAPIDS COVENANT CHRISTIAN 44, OAKRIDGE 36 — A slow start doomed Oakridge in a non-conference loss Tuesday night.

The Eagles fell behind 19-3 after the opening quarter and trailed 27-13. The deficit was 39-19 entering the final period before the Eagles closed on a 17-5 run. 

Jasmine Pastor led the Eagles with 11 points. Delaney Ruel finished the contest with 10 points, while Anna Lundquist recorded six points and nine rebounds. 

The Eagles are now 3-10 overall, including 2-6 in conference play. 

BRETHREN 56, PENTWATER 35 — The Falcons fell to Brethren in a West Michigan D League conference matchup on Tuesday night. 

The Falcons trailed 20-7 after one quarter, 35-17 at halftime, and 46-30 after three quarters of play. 

Haidyn Adams led the Falcons with 23 points.

CHIPPEWA HILLS 52, RAVENNA 47 — Madeline Kilbourne scored 22 points as the Bulldogs fell to the Chippewas in non-conference action on Tuesday night. 

Emma Gillard finished with nine points and 18 rebounds, while Hope Hulka finished the contest with five points and nine rebounds.

The Bulldogs are now 3-9 overall this season.

KALAMAZOO CENTRAL 69, REETHS-PUFFER 65 — The Rockets fell behind 19-9 after the first quarter, and trailed 33-22 at halftime. They were unable to cut into the lead in the third quarter, trailing 52-40 at the start of the final period. 

Sophia Hekkema paced the Rockets with 23 points. Ariel Walker finished the contest with 15 points, while Arrionna Williams scored 13 points.
