Two athletes had double-doubles for the Fruitport Calvary boys basketball team to lead it to a 79-47 win over Holland Black River on Tuesday night.

Bradley Richards led Fruitport Calvary Christian with 27 points and 18 rebounds, while Jacob May totaled 18 points and 10 assists.

The Eagles led 32-9 after the first quarter, 53-19 at the end of the half and 62-22 going into the fourth quarter.

Fruitport Calvary Christian is now 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference play.

NORTHVIEW 66, REETHS-PUFFER 48 – Travis Ambrose led the Rockets with 20 points and seven rebounds while Jaxson Whitaker scored 10 points.

Northview led 19-15 to end the first quarter, 33-26 at halftime and 52-34 at the end of the third quarter.

Reeths-Puffer is now 8-4 for the season and 5-2 in the O-K Green Conference.

SPARTA 53, KENT CITY 41 – The Eagles trailed 20-10 after the opening quarter and 23-13 at halftime.

Kent City was outscored 12-8 during the third quarter and were behind 32-18 heading into the final quarter before closing out the game with a slim 20-18 scoring advantage during the fourth.

MONDAY’S RESULTS

HOLTON 61, FRUITPORT CALVARY 37 – The Red Devils won a non-league contest on Monday night.

Wyatt Monette paced Holton with 17 points.

The Eagles were led by Bradley Richards with 16 points while Ethan Cammenga pulled down 10 rebounds.

Fruitport Calvary falls to 8-3 overall on the season.

MASON COUNTY EASTERN 76, HESPERIA 33 – The Panthers trailed 20-5 after the first quarter, 40-11 at halftime and 43-14 through three quarters.

Ethan O’Neal and Ian Fox led Hesperia with eight points apiece.

The Panthers are now 1-10 overall and 0-5 in league play.
