Delaney Ruel nailed a huge three-point basket late in the game to propel the Oakridge girls basketball team to a slim 39-38 win over Whitehall in West Michigan Conference play on Friday.
The Eagles trailed most of the game as they were behind 11-4 at the end of the first quarter and 26-17 at halftime.
Oakridge cut the deficit to 28-26 heading into the fourth and completed the comeback for the victory.
Jasmine Pastor paced the Eagles with 14 points and six rebounds, while Anna Lundquist added 10 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals and three blocks.
