The Montague girls basketball team overcame an early deficit and defeated Whitehall 38-25 on Thursday in a West Michigan Conference game.
The Wildcats trailed 12-11 after the first quarter but went on an 8-0 second quarter run to take a 19-12 halftime lead.
[1]Montague added to its lead, outscoring the Vikings by a 14-9 margin during the third quarter to take a 33-21 advantage heading into the fourth.
Kendall Osborne paced the Wildcats with 11 points.
The Vikings were led by Charley Klint and Marissa Strandberg with seven points apiece.
Whitehall falls to 7-9 on the season and 5-5 in conference play.
