Holton outlasted North Muskegon in a thrilling girls basketball contest Monday night. The Red Devils overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime and came away with a 48-43 win.

North Muskegon led 33-22 heading to the fourth, but Holton stormed back with a 19-8 edge in the fourth period to force overtime. In the extra session, the Red Devils held the Norse to just two points and completed the comeback.

Ryann Robins led Holton with a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds. Abbie Fowler had 9 points, seven assists and seven steals while Courtney Boes contributed eight points and eight steals.

Josee Cooke had 12 points to lead North Muskegon. Jena Francis and Molly Stewart both tossed in eight points. 

Holton improved to 6-5 on the season with the win, while North Muskegon fell to 2-11. 

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 39, ZION CHRISTIAN 21 — The Eagles took control with a 13-6 edge in the second quarter to pick up another victory Monday night.

Calvary led 8-6 after one quarter, 21-12 at halftime and 33-17 heading to the fourth.

McKenna Wilson led FCC in scoring with 10 points and dished out five assists. Cate Anhalt had nine points, Avneet Cheem totaled eight points, six assists and five rebounds and Reagan Payton had eight points and five rebounds. Nora Pollock stood out defensively with nine steals.

The win Monday moved Fruitport Calvary to 8-0 on the season, including 3-0 in conference play. 

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 34, WHITE CLOUD 20 — The Spartans used a big fourth-quarter edge to pull away from the Indians Monday night. 

Both teams started slow, with MCC leading 3-2 after one quarter. The Spartans led 14-11 by halftime and held a 19-15 lead after three quarters. A 15-5 run in the closing period helped seal the win. 

Mallory Miller led MCC with 11 points. Wren Nelson added eight points and four rebounds.
