Grand Haven managed to hold off a challenge from East Kentwood Friday night to remain tied at the top of the OK Red standings. The teams were tied at halftime, but the Bucs managed a 54-47 win over the Falcons.
With the win, Grand Haven moves to 11-1 in conference play, tied with Rockford for first place. The teams split their meetings this season and each have two conference games remaining.
Friday’s game was tied at 24-24 at halftime before the Bucs pulled ahead in the second half.
Harrison Sorrelle scored 17 points to lead Grand Haven. Bashir Neely finished with 15 and Nic Stump chipped in with 14.
