The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team withstood a furious Hart comeback and beat the Pirates 72-66 on Monday in non-conference action.
Fruitport Calvary had a 38-30 lead at halftime, and pulled ahead by 14 at one point, before Hart nailed four triples in the fourth quarter to make the game close. The Eagles survived despite missing 17 free throw attempts.
Bradley Richards finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles. despite having to sit quite a few minutes due to early foul trouble. Ethan Cammenga also had a big game with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Jacob May had 15 points and 10 assists.
Raj Grewel had a big game on the boards for the Eagles with 10 rebounds.
Wyatt Dean scored a game-high 22 points for Hart and Caleb Bitely added 16.
Fruitport Calvary Christian is now 12-5 on the season.
