The Oakridge girls basketball team overcame a slow start to earn a West Michigan Conference win on Friday night against Ravenna by a 33-22 margin.
The Eagles trailed 7-0 after the first quarter and 14-11 at halftime.
Oakridge had a 19-15 lead heading into the fourth quarter and maintained the advantage throughout the rest of regulation.
Leading the Eagles was Anna Lundquist, who had 17 of Oakridge’s 33 points, as well as
14 rebounds and three blocks. Also helping was Destyni Lane, who had four points and two steals.
Oakridge improves to 4-11 overall and 3-7 in the West Michigan Conference play.
O-K GREEN CONFERENCE
REETHS PUFFER 66, WYOMING 26 – The Rockets jumped out to a 20-12 lead after the opening stanza, led 37-14 at halftime and had a 54-19 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
Sophia Hekkema paced Reeths-Puffer with 18 points, while Ariel Walker scored 13. Brooklyn Tornes chipped in with 11 points and five assists and Irelyn Niklasch pulled down 11 rebounds.
O-K BLUE CONFERENCE
SPRING LAKE 60, FRUITPORT 17- A big second quarter sparked by solid three-point shooting propelled the Lakers to an OK-Blue Conference victory on Friday night.
Spring Lake was up 13-5 after one quarter, 37-11 at halftime and 56-16 through three quarters.
The Lakers were paced by Ella Andree with 12 points, while Jennifer Judge, Brooke Bolthouse and Alexa Carter each added eight points. Judge also pulled down six rebounds.
The Trojans were led by Ash Olson, who scored nine of Fruitport’s 17 points on the night.
Spring Lake improves to 9-4 overall and 6-2 in the OK-Blue play, while the Trojans are 0-14 on the season and 0-8 in league play.
ALLENDALE 48, UNITY 43- The Allendale girls basketball team pulled out an impressive comeback to defeat Unity Christian in OK-Blue conference play on Friday night.
The Falcons were down 36-25 at the end of the third quarter, then closed out the contest with a 23-7 fourth quarter run.
Hannah Schroeder paced Allendale with 19 points, including 14 during the fourth quarter.
The Falcons improved to 7-7 overall on the season.
LAKES 8 CONFERENCE
MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 58, ORCHARD VIEW 17 – The Crusaders led 7-5 after the opening quarter, 30-14 at halftime and 51-16 through three quarters.
MCC was paced by McKenna Gentry with 20 points while Erin LaVigne added nine.
The Crusaders are now 7-5 on the season and 4-2 in league play.
NON-CONFERENCE
LAKEVIEW 39, HESPERIA 27- The Lakeview girls basketball team took advantage of a dominant fourth quarter to down the Panthers in non-conference action Friday night.
The Panthers took an early 10-3 lead after one quarter and was ahead 17-15 at halftime.
Hesperia had a 23-21 advantage heading into the fourth quarter but was outscored during the final stanza by an 18-4 margin.
The Panthers were led by Emmet Tinkham, who posted a double-double on the night- scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Emma Joppich, who nabbed 11 rebounds, also contributed.
Hesperia falls to 2-10 overall and 0-7 in league play.

CENTRAL MONTCALM 69, FREMONT 55- The Packers fell short in a C.S.A.A. contest on Friday night.
Fremont fell behind 17-14 after the first quarter and 30-27 at halftime.
The Hornets went on a 21-4 run to increase their advantage to 51-31 entering the fourth quarter.
Haley Zerlaut led Fremont with 21 points and 6 assists on the night, while Mia Witte also contributed with 16 points.
