The Spring Lake boys basketball team closed out its game strong on Tuesday resulting in a 65-55 win over Allendale in an O-K Blue Conference clash.

The Lakers went on a 12-0 run to break a 35-35 tie and propel them to an O-K Blue Conference win on Tuesday.

Kaden George paced Spring Lake with 23 points, while Eli Morrison added 15 and Porter Saunders had 14. Core Jackson chipped in with six rebounds and six assists.

The Lakers led 19-17 after the first quarter, 30-24 at halftime and 47-35 through three quarters.

Spring Lake is now 4-2 on the season and 2-0 in league play.

O-K BLUE CONFERENCE

COOPERSVILLE 61, HAMILTON 51-Travis Rosel scores 24 points and collects eight steals as they pick up an OK Blue Conference victory.

Isaiah Currie chipped in with 17 points, while Luke Sanford finished the evening with 10.

O-K GREEN CONFERENCE

REETHS-PUFFER 56, ZEELAND EAST 46 – Jaxson Whitaker paced the Rockets with 20 points and five assists, while Travis Ambrose added 16 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks.

Reeths-Puffer led 10-9 after the first quarter, 29-22 at halftime and 44-34 through three quarters.

ZEELAND WEST 61, MONA SHORES 44 – The Sailors struggled from the tipoff, trailing 16-12 through the opening quarter, 33-16 at halftime and 47-29 heading into the fourth.

Ethan Krueger led Mona Shores with 11 points while Keontae Richards added eight points and three assists.

The Sailors are now 4-4 on the season and 1-1 in league play.

O-K RED CONFERENCE

HUDSONVILLE 62 EAST KENTWOOD 52-The Eagles picked up an OK Red Conference victory over East Kentwood on Tuesday night.

Hudsonville jumped out to a 12-7 lead after the first quarter and led 24-22 at half time.

The Eagles carried the momentum through the break, outscoring their opponents 21-12 in the third quarter, extending the lead to 45-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

Brayden Szamrej paced the Eagles with 19 points, while Aden Zank finished the evening with 15.

NON-LEAGUE

SHELBY 71, WHITE CLOUD 39 – Joseph Hayes scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a blow out non-league win on Tuesday.

Shelby jumped out to a 17-9 lead after the opening quarter, led 36-17 at halftime and had a 59-26 advantage heading into the fourth.

Bishop Lee added 22 points for the Tigers while Carson Claeys chipped in with 10.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 68, MANISTEE 50 – The Spartans led 20-9 after the opening quarter, 40-15 at halftime and 54-34 through three quarters.

Will Chye propelled Mason County Central to victory, scoring 20 points while pulling down seven rebounds.

Jayden Perrone chipped in with 17 points and six rebounds, while Landon Smith added seven points and five rebounds.

HART 48, KENT CITY 36 – The Pirates trailed 7-5 at the end of one quarter and 19-13 at halftime.

Hart went on a 14-5 third quarter run to take a 27-24 lead heading into the fourth quarter before closing out the game going on a 21-12 tear.

Kent struggled down the stretch, going 2-for-11 from the free throw line.
