The Ravenna boys basketball team used a 15-11 fourth quarter advantage to defeat Montague 52-46 on Friday night in a highly contested West Michigan Conference matchup.
Through the first half, the game was dead even as the teams were tied after both the first quarter and second quarter.
Ravenna took a 37-35 lead after three quarters before creating more separation behind a solid fourth quarter.
Kyle Beebe led the Bulldogs with a double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Grant Becklini managed 19 points for Ravenna while Travis May led the defensive effort with five steals.
For Montague, Tate Stine led the way with 18 points while Connor Raeth totaled 10. Isaiah Atchinson posted an impressive defensive performance, finishing with three steals and a block.
Ravenna improves to 7-3 overall and 6-1 in conference play, sitting atop the West Michigan Conference while Montague falls to 4-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
