The North Muskegon boys basketball team knocked down enough free throws down the stretch to gain a 52-47 victory over Oakridge on Tuesday in West Michigan Conference action.
Oakridge led 13-12 after one quarter, and the Norse led 23-20 at halftime and 37-30 after three quarters.
North Muskegon led by 10 points in the fourth quarter, Oakridge rallied to tie the score with 2:30 left, then the Norse closed out the win as the clock ran down.
Troy McManus had 14 points, 11 rebounds and four steals for North Muskegon. Brandon Rypstra added 10 points and four rebounds while Champ Young had six points and six rebounds.
Ethan Josza paced Oakridge with 21 points and 11 rebounds while Hunter Delora added 16 points.
North Muskegon is now 6-3 overall on the season and 4-3 in conference play. Oakridge is 4-4 and 1-5.
