The Muskegon boys basketball team collected a third straight impressive win to open the season Friday night. The Big Reds rode a strong first quarter to a 74-57 win over Zeeland West at Redmond-Potter Gymnasium.
Muskegon is now 3-0 on the season, including 1-0 in the O-K Green, and has won each of its first three games by 17 or more points.
Jordan Briggs led Muskegon with 19 points on the evening, including a trio of three-pointers. Anthony Sydnor III added 18 points and was 8-for-9 at the free-throw line.

Ethan Hill chipped in a double-double for Muskegon with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Maurice Sain Jr. contributed nine points, nine rebounds and a team-high four assists.
The Big Reds led 21-12 at the end of the first quarter, 41-32 at halftime and 53-40 at the end of the third quarter.
