The Spring Lake girls basketball team opened league play with a 49-18 victory over Fruitport on Friday night.
The Lakers were led by Meah Bajt with nine points and three steals while Jennifer Judge added eight points and 10 rebounds.
Alexa Carter chipped in with eight points and four rebounds for Spring Lake, which outrebounded the Trojans by a 38-22 margin.
The Trojans were led by Ashton Olson with six points while Sadie Norwood added four.
Spring Lake is now 4-2 on the season and 1-0 in league play, while the Trojans are 0-6 overall and 0-1 in O-K Blue Conference action.

KENT CITY 38, HESPERIA 15 – The Eagles led 30-6 at halftime and coasted to victory behind 11 points from Sylvia Freeland while Savannah Miller and Lexie Bowers each added six points on limited minutes.
The Panthers were led by Emmet Tinkham with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Kent City improved to 8-0 on the season and 4-0 in league play, while Hesperia is 0-4 overall and 0-3 in conference action.
NEWAYGO 68, FREMONT 32-The Lions jumped out to a 23-6 lead after the first quarter and held a 40-17 advantage at halftime.
Khaila Noordyk paced the Packers with nine points and 12 rebounds.
Fremont is now1-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
O-K GRERN CONFERENCE
REETHS-PUFFER 61, WYOMING 26 – The Reeths-Puffer girls basketball team jumped out to a 21-2 advantage after one quarter and never looked back.
Ariel Walker led the Rockets (3-2, 1-0) with 17 points and five steals while Sophia Hekkema added 16 points and 13 rebounds. Arrionna Williams totaled 13 points and seven rebounds while Brooklyn Tornes finished with 12 points and seven rebounds of her own.
MONA SHORES 64, GRAND RAPIDS UNION 42 – The Mona Shores offense exploded for 25 first quarter points in an impressive showing.
Ali Phillips paced the Sailors with 13 points while Lily Miller added 12 and Mia Brown totaled 11.
Mona Shores is now 6-1 overall and 1-0 in O-K Black Conference play.
O-K RED CONFERENCE
HUDSONVILLE 66, GRAND HAVEN 33-The Eagles erupt for 45 first half points as they defeat the Bucs in OK Red Conference action on Friday night.
Maddie Petreolje paced Hudsonville with 20 points, while Jaci Tubergan finished the contest with 19.
The Bucs were led by Zoe Spoelman with 10 points.
Grand Haven is now 4-2 on the season.
