The Muskegon Big Reds ran their record to 6-0 with a 65-54 victory over Grand Rapids Union on Tuesday in O-K Green conference action.
Muskegon led 14-10 after one quarter, gained its advantage with a 15-8 advantage in the second, then held on for the victory.
Anthony Sydnor led the Big Reds with 20 points while Ethan Hill added 16 points and nine rebounds.
SHELBY 71, WHITE COULD 39 – Joseph Hayes tossed in 29 points and had 12 rebounds for the Tigers.
Bishop Lee also had a big game with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Shelby improved to 4-1 on the season.
FREMONT 71, GRANT 64 – The Packers trailed for most of the game, but pulled out the win in the fourth quarter.
Jordan McDonald scored a season-high 31 points for Fremont while logging seven rebounds, four steals and three assists. Logan Nelson had 10 points, six assists and four steals while Gavin Richards scored 10 points and had six rebounds and three assists.
RAVENNA 58, OAKRIDGE 50 (FRIDAY) – Ravenna trialed 12-9 after one quarter, then gained the edge by outscoring Oakridge 16-4 in the second quarter and 18-9 in the third.
The Eagles made a late push, outscoring the Bulldogs 25-15 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
Kyle Beebe led Ravenna with 20 points, Clay Schullo added 17 and Travis May had 14.
