Big Reds overcome an early deficit, blast Benton Harbor 84-58 on Saturday to remain undefeated at 4-0

The Muskegon boys basketball team has yet to be challenged, even though Benton Harbor gave it a good try for a while on Saturday.

The Big Reds are 4-0 on the season and have outscored each opponent by at least 19 points so far.

They posted their latest victory on Saturday, when they overcame an early deficit and easily defeated Benton Harbor 84-58 in the Big Red Classic at Redmond-Potter Gymnasium.

Muskegon trailed 21-16 after one quarter, but took control of the contest with an 18-8 advantage in the second quarter and a 26-11 burst in the fourth.

Four players scored in double figures for the Big Reds – Anthony Sydnor with 21 points, Jordan Briggs with 18, David Day with 13 and Maurice Sain with 12.

Ethan Hill scored eight points for Muskegon and pulled down nine rebounds.
