The Mona Shores hockey team kept rolling through its schedule with a pair of impressive wins over the weekend.
On Friday the Sailors defeated Wyandotte-Roosevelt 4-1. Ty Langlois scored two goals for Mona Shores while Jake Nanna and Trent Benedict each scored once. Benedict’s goal gave the junior 100 points for his varsity career.

Goalie Carter Dethloff stopped 20 of 21 shots to claim the victory. Mona Shores had a huge 74-21 advantage in shots on goal.
On Saturday the Sailors rolled past Allen Park 8-0. Six different players scored for Mona Shores – Nico Taylor, Benedict, Chase Knowlton, Landon Taylor, Isaac Habetler and Ethan Ring. Zach Liebrandt had three assists while Benedict and Langlois each had two.Goalie Keldon Boone earned his first varsity victory and shutout in the game.
Mona Shores, now 9-1, will play Reeths-Puffer on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at L.C. Walker Arena.
