Wyatt Monette had 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to lead the Holton boys basketball team to a 47-31 season-opening victory over Tri-County on Tuesday night.
The game was tight for three quarters, with Holton leading 8-5 after one, 17-11 at halftime and 28-24 heading into the fourth.
The Red Devils sealed up the win with a 19-7 advantage in the final quarter.
Austin Fowler had 12 points and four assists for Holton while Carter Brant added seven points and five rebounds.
