The Reeths-Puffer hockey team exploded for three goals in the third period to pull out a thrilling 4-2 victory over Grand Haven on Saturday.
Tristen Goss scored early for Grand Haven and the Bucs led 1-0 at the end of the first period.
R-P’s Avery Wolfe-Sabo deflected a shot from Andrew Bouwman into the net early in the second period, tying the game 1-1, before Grand Haven’s Nicklas Braidwood scored on a power play. Grand Haven led 2-1 headed into the third period.
The Rockets took control in the third with goals from Noah Vos, Bouwman and Josh Shafer (empty-netter) to complete the rally and seal the win
Reeths-Puffer won despite being outshot 45-33.
The Rockets will next take the ice on Sunday Dec. 4 against Forest Hills Central.
