ANTICIPATED TEAM STRENGTHS

Oakridge should be a strong passing team, according to Wahr. The team also has a solid mix of perimeter and interior players to match up well with other teams on the defensive end. Lundquist, the starting post player, worked hard on her outside shot over the summer and will be an inside-outside threat.

ANTICIPATED TEAM CHALLENGES

Getting the team on the same page offensively has been a focus of early practices. Wahr said finding the right tempo and getting everyone playing at the same speed will go a long way toward helping the Eagles find success offensively.

CONFERENCE FAVORITES

Wahr says the West Michigan Conference is tough throughout, but highlighted Whitehall and Montague as two teams who could end up on top.

FIRST GAME

The Eagles will open the season at home against Sparta Tuesday, Nov. 30.

COACH QUOTE

“We have a tough conference, we know that. I just hope we compete with every single one of them and give it our all for all of our games. I’m just hoping that we can mesh together well, and that comes with playing and practicing with each other.”  – Morgan Wahr [4]
