The Muskegon Catholic Central volleyball team had a strong season come to an end on Tuesday with a four-set loss to Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart in the Division 4 regional semifinals.

The Crusaders got off to a great start in the match, winning the first set 25-20, but lost the next three by scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-17.

Erin LaVigne led MCC with seven kills while serving three aces. Claire LaVigne had 14 assists.

Defensively, Emma Maierhauser had 24 digs and Cara Burkall blocked three shots.

MCC finished the season with a 25-13 record and won a Division 4 district championship.
